In this volume you'll find the insignia for most of the units of the US 8th air force. What you wont find is crappy sigs like PC Arena. Lol I'm working on Volume Two-Kings Of the Heavies, US 8th Air Force Bomber Squadrons. (for those ai b-17's and flyable pby's /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif ) Download Here: Here's a copy of the read me i included with the zip: =Read me= Copperhead's Air Force Volume One- 8th Air Force Fighter Groups Insignia Files for the USAAF's 8th Air Force 1. I have made every attempt to include as many of the 8th air force fighter groups as possible. I you should find that I have missed any fighter groups that served with the US 8th AF in the ETO Please email me with the information and I'll add them to the next volume. In some cases the insignia is not currently obtainable. In those instances I have either substituted the MODERN insignia or omitted that insignia completely. This is an on going project and this is only a small part of what is to come. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif After I'm positive that all of the 8th Air force Fighter units are completed I'll then move on to the Bomber Groups for the B-17/24/25/26's & special Squadrons like Night Fighter Groups for the P-61 Black Widow ect. Other us air forces are coming soon so stay tuned for additional volumes. Next up- the 5th Air Force. Historical information on the units is easily obtainable via the internet, such as base of operations, and aircraft types. These files are great for recreating historical USAAF misions and for Skin Painter's to include with their historical skins! Sorry Copperhead310th but I missed the 56th Fighter Group in your list. Any chance you could post the same info for the 56th Fighter Group as you have done for the 56th Fighter Squadron. That would give me some ideas for 'The USAAF campaign' I'm a bit concerned about the campaign at the moment though due to the problem with the P-47's loadouts - (always being given 2x 250lb bombs when you select rockets and drop-tanks!) I'm looking for somewhere to host the campaign for 'Beta testing' It's about 3MB at the moment - any ideas? Is anyone else working on USAAF campaigns which will live in the campaign folder I've created. It's my attitude not my aptitude that determines my altitude. Extreme_One wrote: - That's excellent.
